Young Justice: Phantoms

It’s amazing how the tiniest raindrop of a trickle of news is enough to get the hype train rolling. For anyone who hasn’t seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQYhnQwWkCw&ab_channel=YJFanVids it’s designated as Season 3.9, Episode #001.

NOW, there are some fairly interesting things established in this Audio Play. With Greg Weissman’s usual MO, we can assume everything is canon and these events play out RIGHT BEFORE Phantoms proper starts.

1. M’gann and Connor both mention that it’s been 10 years since they met everyone.This puts the Audio Play as occurring sometime in 2020. Which means yours truly very likely gets his wish on there being a three-year timeskip, whoo!

2. Artemis is currently leading The Team and extends an invite to rejoin to Roy, which he accepts. So Arsenal, who should currently be 20 physiologically is once again on the Team come the season’s start.

Those are the two main things. M’gann, Connor, J’onn, Garfield and Bio-Ship are all taking a trip to celebrate the Supermartian wedding. Just as interesting to me, personally, is that Lian and Amistad hang out with Forager (And Snapper Carr), their “larvasitter” so they’re growing up close, which is heart-meltingly cute.

The story itself is a romp with Bowhunter Security versus some goons, so these are the main possibly-overarching story beats.
