From Artesia Afield chapter 4
War is nothing but a mystery to me. That is why I worship it.
War is the most terrifying mystery that man is capable of making... save love and hate. War is a crucible of our passions... Such ecstasy and misery and dread, so full of all that we are... What act more base can we undertake yet what test greater to prove our character?
The goddesses of war bring the chance for glory and shame in equal measure to all who walk in their shadow... For war eats the weak, the strong the lucky and unlucky, the wicked and the just... And in the end its only sure reward is death.
Just like life itself, yes?
