Artesyn Embedded Power, 48V 인프라 에볼루션 지원하는 Open Rack 버전 3 전력 셸프 발표

Advanced Energy 의 계열사인 Artesyn Embedded Power의 제품군이 48V 데이터 센터 인프라로의 전환을 지원하기 위해 설계된 새로운 Open Compute Project인 Open Rack 버전 3(OCP ORv3) 전력 쉘프를 도입한다고 발표했다.

전통적으로 데이터 센터 랙은 12V 전력 셸프를 사용해 왔다.  그러나 고성능 컴퓨팅 및 스토리지 플랫폼은 더 많은 전력을 요구하므로 매우 높은 전류가 발생한다. 12V에서 48V 배전으로 이동하면 전류 소모가 1/4로 떨어지고 전도 손실이 1/16로 줄어든다. 결과적으로 열 성능이 크게 향상되고 버스 바가 더 작아지고 효율성이 향상된다.

이 제품은 통신, 컴퓨팅 및 서버 적용을 위한 최고 효율의 온보드 12V 출력을 옵션형 디지털 제어로 제공한다. BDQ1300은 효율이 97%를 초과하는 비절연 포인트-오브-로드(Point-of-Load) 컨버터의 전압 소스로 설계되었다. 이 제품은 40 – 60V의 입력 전압을 수용할 수 있어 48V의 데이터 센터 및 통신 네트워크 장비에 이상적이다.
