this is the oc. yes that's their name.

tldr this is the current iteration of my "chameleon arch gone wrong" guy (vaguetagged on here as #s) and his "name" is just any description of him. bio mostly pasted from artfight with a bit more elaboration ->

the character is properly* named as whatever noun applies to them in the context (e.g. the pilot, the stowaway, the stranger in the body of someone you once knew. the character). ae is pangender in the sense that every possible way to reference aer is valid, except that ae has no name. (will acknowledge the names "saffron" and "notsaffron". only one of those things is true.)

(note: if you're in a sitch where playing along with xer weird epithet thing is inconvenient, e.g. trying to make it clear who exactly you're referring to, "notsaffron" or "s" are fine. i call em notsaffron pretty regularly)

bright, excitable, spontaneous. somewhat fourth-wall-aware (if only because sometimes i need to name her shit like "the character". kind of tends to tip a guy off). here for a good time, not a long time (<- is quasi-immortal). i mean, he exists, so he might as well go out and explore about it

was once a normal college student named saffron xue, who turned out to be the humansona of a space alien. go figure. now the alien (dormant and in disguise for so long that they're no longer who they once were, or really a real person at all) and saffron (as a humansona, never a real person in the first place) have merged into approximately one not-real person who doesn't know what the fuck he's supposed to do now. i mean, all things considered, it's probably a better deal than trying to get through undergrad as the soul(?) of your true(?) self(?) slowly rots(?) in the back of your brain
