My favourite way to frame my prints is by deckling the edges of the paper and float mounting the work inside its frame. Have you checked the framing on your art collection lately? Framing is an important part of an art work, not only does it make it look complete and more special however it plays an important part in protecting the artwork especially if it is a work on paper. So perhaps check the following points to make sure your artworks are conserved well over the years: 1. Make sure the framing does not use any acid-based materials and is preferably to conservation or museum standards. 2. Make sure that you do not use regular glass on your works on paper or paper equivalents otherwise risk to have the colours attenuated even over short periods of time. 3. Make sure the artwork is not in direct sunlight! If so make sure you have the highest protection of glass UV protection. 4. Make sure that the artwork is well sealed especially if it is in a humid atmosphere. 5.
