Note: His impersonation of Eleanor Roosevelt led to an invitation from the First Lady and President Franklin D. Roosevelt to perform for them in the East Room of the White House while they were in office.
Now premiering Bell and Arthur the (old) addition to the Star Crew
Bell Meraca (Fairy name Whirlwind): represents the element of wind and the celestial landmark of planets. She is the younger sister of Destiny and uses a battle fan as her weapon. She fights using dance (bellet). She is fairly level headed but a bit nieve. She very is ambitious and goal oriented.
Arthur Blake (Fairy name Dark Matter or Dark for short): He represents the element of Spirit and the celestial landmark of the void.He is the absolute youngest of the group but don't let that fool you. He is calculated and the plan maker. He uses a bow and arrow to fight and mostly stays back. He is a valuable asset the the gang.
Arthur Blake was a major impressionist and nightclub draw in the 1940s. By the 1960s his status was greatly reduced and he served out the rest of his career as Jayne Mansfield’s opening act. He was remembered by older LBGTQ patrons in Las Vegas, but was considered too old fashioned for the burgeoning Gay Liberation Movement.
Blind Blake, if you like the Blues, is an artist you should consider finding. He was prolific back in the 1920s. A 5 CD remastered collection was issued out for the UK in 2003. Featuring 110 tracks of some of the earliest recorded blues, the style & vibe is familiar, its influence on Blues to come reveals itself as the tracks play.

I hear his influence in Dumbo (1941), the segment of the film featuring the song ”When I See An Elephant Fly”. Hal Johnson & his choir capture the feels Blind Blake recorded just 16 years earlier.
More modern familiarity can be heard in the band, Devil In A Woodpile. The plucked string sound, with strong folk ear worms.
Of note, the photo on the box set cover, is the only known photo of Blind Blake.
So, please give Blind Blake a listen, go down the rabbit hole of early Blues. Let the melancholy sift its way into your soul.
