Headcannon thingy but it also plays into wild beast au kinda

Familial dynamics exist in the scu, the basic idea is that Steves have a sort of concept of parents and siblings. They have their own domestic animals to go off of but it is a little different for them. This headcannon makes use of the idea that Steve are spawned randomly, with a higher chance of a Steve spawing near a village of steves or just near a concentration of Steves.

When a new Steve spawns, there is the chance they're discovered by another Steve, or they go to survive on their own. Living on their own simply means they have no "blood" relatives. (Blood not in the literal sense, I'll be describing how in this next paragraph)

If a new Steve is discovered by another Steve, the older Steve is considered the Parent, IF, they choose to help guide the younger Steve in living.

*A relatively young Steve could discover an even younger Steve and feel like he's not ready to or experienced enough to raise a new Steve. (Still probably being housed by his Parent Steve until he builds his own house) so the Young Steve will bring the Newer Steve back to a village/home where the New Steve would either be adopted by the Parent Steve or another Older Steve. If the New Steve is raised by the Same Parent Steve then the Young and New Steve are considered siblings. If the New Steve is taken in by a different Steve, the the Young and New Steve are then just non-related Steves.

Then a basic family tree can be made. Therein grand and great grand parents can exist, uncles and nephews, seconds cousins and so on.

Mainly thinking this out because family trees exist in WB au and Seer has a father.

non disabled people meaning well does not change the fact that their actions are ableist. they still hurt people through ignorance and should be educated. for instance, i’m not going to put up with my grandmother constantly commenting about my weight as her way of worrying about my health just because she means well, because it still hurts me and makes me hate my body. intention does not erase the resulting effects.

when people are writing modern au fanfiction from a fandom that has a canon disabled characters, and they remove the characters' disability :<

biggest pet peeve that makes me drop a fanfic so fast is when the character with a prosthetic in canon gets it replaced with a tattoo sleeve or smth in the modern AU. :/

Ableism is how people make fun of the 'I am a surgeon' scene from good doctor and the way some people excuse it as 'there are no actual autistic people to like that'.

There are, in fact, people with autism like that. I would know considering I am one.

This is ableism because it denies the variability of the autism spectrum

Like actually thoes types of comments on yt videos and other social media posts make me so angry because I've seen that clip, I've seen other clips of the good doctor and while it doesn't represent every autistic person there are autistic people who relate to the character.

It's the same with Sheldon Cooper and Brick. While it's debated on if they're good representations of the autism community it is still insulting to see people make comments like wanting to kill these characters. You can just say you don't like the character without being an asshole.

Here in Texas that was also a term I have heard and used as I grew up. Up until about 7 years ago I had used this to describe our flip-floppy weather but one of my friends with bipolar told me to stop and when I didn't understand (because of my autism I have a hard time understanding certain things especially if I thought it was normal. I lacked the context and nuance of the phrase) they explained why it was ablist. I have since replaced the bipolar analogy with just saying that our weather is indecisive/flip-flopy
