The winners of the 2019 Chesley Awards, for works and achievements in the period from January 1 to December 31 2018, were announced during NASFiC 2019, July 4-7 2019 in Layton, Utah.
The Chesley Awards, named after astronomical artist Chesley Bonestell, were established by the Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists (ASFA) in 1985 as a means for the Science Fiction and Fantasy art community to recognize individual works and achievements in a given year.

An image started as a drawing with polychromos on paper, then coloured in Photoshop. I don't often do landscapes in linedrawing cause the colouring stage usually takes me way too long. But I do enjoy the drawing. And the end result too actually.
