Little shop swap au where Audrey is taking care of the plant instead of Seymour. I like to think the plant itself would present differently- instead of having a giant maw like a venus fly trap it’d look like a giant rose, those ones that are all closed up.

The storyline would be totally different as well. I like to think that the plant’s personality depends on whose blood it’s being fed off of and how often the plant owner talks to it- alongside gender expression.

So I think Audrey’s version of twoey would be a lot sweeter- and represent her biggest quality; self sacrifice. It doesn’t want to feed off of Audrey, but it doesn’t want to feed off of anyone else either until Orin gets involved, and even then it’s hesitant until Audrey snaps and kills him just to keep her best friend alive.

I do want to say that the plant is not entirely blameless though because it’s the one who first introduces the idea to Audrey before trying to take it back, saying stuff like “you don’t have to but it’d be really nice if you did…” just very subtle manipulation coming from the Twoey.

Its pronouns are also reversed. Instead of mean green mother from outer space it’s actually a gleeful peach father from outer space, or something like that.

Everyone shipping Orin Scrivello and Arthur Denton is so funny to me. Everything about the scene between them was non-consensual. Arthur actually makes Orin incredibly uncomfortable. Scares him, even. Orin is a freak, sure, but his issues are just a severely fucked moral compass; Arthur, on the other hand, actively enjoys something the human body does to tell us that something is terribly wrong.

I need a fic where Arthur stalks Orin and he finally feels the fear he’s inflicted on his patients (and others) for all these years. Not a romance, something horrible and concerning. Yeahhhh. Something that will make me regret reading it.

(Of course, feel free to ship them if you want!! I’m not the fandom police, and I can’t deny I love some toxic yaoi, so go crazy. I’d just love to see that closer-to-canon side of them explored more, and I think there’s a lot that a writer could do with it.)
