Ribbun week day 1

Howdy ho! I decided to join Ribbun week by @/allhailthequeenuwu, mostly cuz I did December Ribbunweek in December of 2024 I believe, so I had to do this one too, naturally. Anyways today's prompt is first date, and I imagine this to be like their first point that connects them hehe...idk...enjoy! also yes i do hc jax to be trans man and gangle to be trans woman because idk it seems fitting

Scene Ribbun be upon ye

💥BAM!💥 anyways but ye I just wanted to show off my headcanons for the pair + also draw them as scene girlies!! Below is closeups + specifics of their headcanons! ^_^

Jax: trans woman, bisexual and objectum. Particularly, vehium (attracted to vehicles, in her case, planes) and soundrum (attracted to sounds, in her case, likely the bass of rave songs)

Gangle: trans woman, bisexual and objectum. Particularly, plushum (attraction to plushes, in her case, I'm not sure if she would have a specific plush or anything, i think it would be more the texture for her), agalmatum (attraction to toys, dolls, mannequinns and other things like that, in her case, the figurine thing), technum (attraction to technology, such as computers or TVs, in her case maybe the old macintosh computer), and soundrum (attraction to sounds, in her case, again, to the bass of rave songs)

Cakeverse Ribbun

Just watched coleydoesthing's video on the cakeverse and I had to draw this brotato...anyways I'd like to think that Gangle tastes like the Tumblr cake that had a lot of vanilla extract/strawberry. (under the cut will be an explanation of cakeverse to the best of my understanding)

Still, I'd like to think that Jax would be able to smell her and know she's a cake but be hesitant to act on it. Not out of any concern for her, but for his own pride. He wouldn't mind the consumption (especially given they're in a *digital* circus, she could likely respawn infintely for his bottomless appetite and greed), no, what he would mind though is the fact that he would be reliant on her to taste anything, her having power over him and the fact she could use that as leverage at any point. Manager Gangle was bad enough for his ego, he doesn't need to be embarrassed more, especially since being outed as a fork would likely break any other realtionships he 'has' even more than they already are.

Cakeverse, to my understanding, is where everybody is divided into 3 catergories: cake, fork and normal/plate.

Forks are those who have either never tasted/smelt anything or grow into being that way during puberty. The only thing they can taste/smell is a cake. It's hard to their appetite when near a cake, but it is possible. Also, dependent on the fork, they can have preferences/be picky, so not every fork will go after every cake they smell/taste! They can either consume all of the cake, bits of them, or fluids such as blood, it still has the sweet taste. However, due to their reputation, forks are often demonized as criminals, blood thirsty maniacs, even if they have never done anything or even have met a cake before.

Cakes are those that are the sweet people that Forks desire. However, cakes have no idea that they are cakes until a fork identifies them (and tells them I suppose), they live ordinary lives being able to taste and smell everything.

Normal people/plates are just that, normal people. They don't taste sweet and can taste things normally

Ragatha - cake, mixed berry though primarily strawberry. Jax did notice her as a cake, but I feel like he only took a taste once or twice before realizing his style isn't fruit.

Jesteribbon render practice

hehe...I doodled candy ver of jesteribbon to test out a rendering style I found on Tiktok which I'll link below the cut...anyhow I think this turned out pretty good, and it was actually quite fun instead of the usual AGHHHH of rendering/blending shading I usually do for more "serious" drawings....
