Year 1304

Once again, this year included more heartbreak. It was time for the only living child between John and Petra to age up. However, he did not make it. Little Alaric Mannering died from malnourishment, like his older brother before him. It did not get any better when the father of the Mannering household, Mr. John Mannering himself, contacted dysentery and succumbed to it. Petra was without a husband and the kids were without their father. Arne and Mary Payne heard about the news and moved in with Petra and the kids. It would have been impossible for her to take care of the farm and kids otherwise. The good light of the year, Dorothy Mannering was born. The youngest, and last child, to be born to John and Petra.

Year 1303

This was the year of some happy times and some sad times. It was the year the first children born were aging up. Arthur and Winifred Mannering had their birthdays. However, Arthur passed away from malnourishment. Leif and Godwin Payne also had their birthdays. Heartbreak also came to the Payne household when Godwin passed away from malnourishment as well. Here’s to hoping for better years in the future.
