Mmm ok ok... let's say we have 20+ reader.
From the first time you saw him, the allure of the outlaw cowboy immediately struck you.
You find yourself anxiously waiting for him every time he leaves for some robbery or a simple trip and when he returns you always offer to help him with the little things. You do it to show that you care.
But Arthur isn't stupid. Notice how you look at him in the most monotonous moments of the day, when you spend your time going back and forth between one tent and another and those little smiles you reserve only for him.
He would wonder how someone young like you could be infatuated with someone old like him and no matter how hard you try, he will never see you as someone he could spend the rest of his life with.
This is not because he doesn't like you, but because he doesn't want you to suffer needlessly for someone like him.
Arthur would protect you, with words and deeds, even if it hurt both of you.

to Mod: do you know if Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff keep the fanarts and gifts the fans give them? A photographer friend of mine happened to work at some events with celebrities etc. a few times and he told me most actors etc just throw them away and that got me
I don't know about Roger Clark (Arthur) he probably keeps it because he got so emotional more than once when receiving gifts from fans, even recorded videos about those. About Rob Wiethoff (John), he literally put fanarts and drawings he receives on his wall and keeps the gifts as well. He seems to have a room just for that. He's so precious. And not only he appreciates all of those, in the live he made when he placed them on the wall he seemed to remember WHO gave him each fanart, THE EVENT he was and WHEN they gave it to him. So I guess if you ever gave him a drawing, he probably remembers your face and when that was too.
