📙💛🌳💙 for any of your Watchers? :)
thank you! I’ll talk about Rudi for this one!
📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?
Most things to do with archery or nature will keep her pretty interested! She’s a natural animal person and loves hearing about people’s pets. She can also talk about cooking and baking for a good while and loves swapping recipes with people!
💛 In general, how in control of their emotions is your OC? Do they have a good hold on them or do their emotions control them, not the other way around? What do you think is the reason behind this and is your OC ever concerned about their lack of or good control?
Rudi is very open with her emotions. It’s good in a lot of ways, in that she’s affectionate and honest, but it also means she had a bit of a temper at times. She struggled with that a lot more in her younger years, and it did cause some fights with people she loves that she now regrets. After getting a bit older, and learning how to meditate as part of her monk training, she’s more balanced and has some better control. She’s still one of the first people to stand up and do something if she sees something wrong, and she considers that a very good quality in herself.
🌳 Compare your OC to themself from 10 years ago. How has their mental state changed since then, how have they aged and grown up? Would they say they’re in a better place than they were back then or do they need help? What advice would they give their younger self? What advice would their younger self give to them now?
As noted above, she’s a lot more balanced in her emotions than she was when she was younger. She’s also found herself some really great friends and reconnected with her family, which has been good for her and helped her put a lot of regrets behind her. She’s definitely in a better place, even with all the world ending threats going on, and she would tell her younger self to keep her head up and keep moving forward, because there’s better days up ahead.
💙 What did your OC want to be when they grew up and why? Did they have any lifelong dreams or ambitions they never got to work on or are they currently working to achieve this dream? Has their life taken a very unexpected turn and put all these plans on hold for a while or have they given up on any dreams?
She always wanted to be a hunter, just like her mother. She wanted to be like her mother in a lot of ways- she was basically her hero. She did become a hunter, and always planned on staying her village forever with what remained of her family.
Her brother leaving the village was a big unexpected blow, and she never planned on following him until she heard about all the unrest in the Dyrwood and had to go make sure he was okay. Even then, she expected she would come back someday- but she really fell in love with the Dyrwood and all the people she met on her adventures. So her life is very different than she once planned, but she’s pretty happy with everything that happened!
(From adraveins on main.) 📊, 🔗, and 🎭 from the Headcanon Meme for Adira? :)
Thank you for asking!
📊 - How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?
To put it simply, it needs a lot of work. A LOT. It could always be better, and she does try to make sure her actions leave the world in a better state than when she started. It’s easy to get disheartened, though, especially when most times it seems like everyone else is only out for themselves. She’d also never say out loud that it could be worse, because that’s basically an invitation for disaster.
🔗 - What are your muse’s standards for meaningful relationships? How quickly do they form relationships like these?
For Adira, her most meaningful relationships are built around mutual respect. If she can’t find something to respect about someone they won’t be able to get close, and will quickly lose touch once their business together is concluded. Once someone has her respect, they’re basically family, and it generally happens pretty quickly. Her most notable meaningful relationships are with Edér, Kana, Xoti, Ydwin and Serafen.
🎭 - How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?
She’s got the most ridiculously honest disposition and for the most part, she doesn’t like keeping things bottled up. Sometimes it’s necessary to keep things to herself, but it makes her miserable.
❤, 💘, and 💝 for your Kai ship of choice?
I’m gonna go with Kai/Aloth, it’s been a while since I’ve talked about them :)
❤:who is more affectionate in public? in private?
In public, neither is very physically affectionate, but Kai’s more likely to be verbally affectionate. And not just by always calling him “darling,” but she likes to tell him as often as possible how much he matters to her. She asks him his opinion on things a lot too, which from someone like Kiki it may as well be a declaration of love in and of itself.
In private, Kiki is still very verbally affectionate, but I think Aloth is the more likely to initiate anything physical. Hand-holding and hair-stroking are big favorites for both of them, simple and gentle gestures that just kind of let them let their guards down.
The exception to both of these rules is Iselmyr, who is 100% down to make out anywhere and anytime. Even if they’re in an important meeting. Maybe especially if they’re in an important meeting.
💘:who developed a crush on the other first?
Aloth developed a crush on Kai, first because she’s the first person in a long time (maybe ever :/) that was truly kind to him, but it developed beyond that pretty quickly. He started to realize it in the Sanitarium, when Kai helped him come to terms with Iselmyr, but I think after that night on the bridge outside Defiance Bay, when he confessed his former association with the Leaden Key, that’s when he knew.
💝:who spends more time (possibly overthinking) what presents to get the other?
Aloth. Kai and Aloth are both chronic over-thinkers, but Aloth has additional issues there due to the abuse he suffered as a kid. Fear of rejection would be a big thing for him, and fear of abandonment. Kai isn’t so much afraid of rejection, her childhood trauma manifests itself more in a need to be right, and getting the wrong gift means she failed.
🖊 + Laerke? :)
- Is on the young side for an elf, around 73/74ish around the end of the first game
- Originally from The White That Wends
- Parents are/were devout worshippers of Rymrgand
- Was not about any of that, and braved the dangerous trip out of her homeland to go explore other opportunities as soon as she was physically able to
- Has a big case of wanderlust, and has been exploring different areas and different cultures ever since she left
- Has bounced around between a few different adventuring parties over the years. There’s two or three that she tends to go back to over and over, depending on what area she’s in
- Really wanted to make things work with Ariela, but ultimately is just not built for settling in one place, and returned to a life of adventuring
- Is (I believe?) a barbarian, with a two-handed greatsword (I made her as an adventurer once, but I actually don’t remember what I classed her as. I’m pretty sure it was barbarian, though). Is mad muscular as a result.
🎭, 🙊, 🎒 for Fjóla?
Oh this will beinteresting! At least I hope so ;-D, since we haven’t played the LK campaignyet so my impressions of Fjóla are based on my character creation process &vague backstory ideas for her, and also on the Sims version of her that is so ridiculouslyfun to play (she’s a mad scientist. She cloned her friend Vi, and then herself, and the clones are now her housemates because offering the clone you just made a place to stay is the polite thing to do in Simlatl. It’s great because they stay home andtake care of the cats while Fjóla is at the lab coming up with even crazierideas. She’d clone more little helpers but it would get kinda crowded).
🎭 Acting
She has a lotof confidence and a lack of shame and can definitely play a role in the courseof a secret mission. I don’t think she has much interest in acting in thetheater sense though.
🙊 Keeping secrets
Well she’s aLeaden Key agent high enough in the ranks to get picked for Nona’s Angels, aselect (and really tiny) squad attempting to find out what happened to Thaoswhen he was just about to complete their plans in the Dyrwood, so Fjóla must beGREAT at keeping secrets to get picked for that. Also she’s still keeping a lotof secrets from me about her past, which I wish she wouldn’t.
🎒 Learning
One of her best skills forsure! She’s clever and curious and highly motivated to learn and to masterwhatever she sets her hand to, a bit of a polymath. She gets frustrated withother students/colleagues who aren’t keeping up and also with subjects she isstudying that do not come to her as quickly as usual but she will bully theminto cooperation (both the fellow students/colleagues and the tricky subjectmatter, obviously. :-D)
[Muse SkillsAsks]
fantasy races in botw hyrule are like exclusively jocks and elves: male jocks (gorons), female jocks (gerudo), standard elves (hylian), elves who are also birds (rito), and elves who are also fish (zora).
THEY LITERALLY ARE I LOVE THEM SO MUCH........... every time i meet someone who is tall and also nice to me i simply fall in love with them. there are a lot of tall nice fantasy people around so you can imagine i am fit to combust
assuming that Sylens is actually Banuk, do you think Sylens would view APOLLO in a quasi-religious way, maybe without fully realizing it, since he views knowledge with such reverence and the Banuk view machines in a similar way? kind of like how Aloy seems to see Elisabet and GAIA that way because of her upbringing. i keep waffling back and forth on whether that would factor in, or whether he would ONLY care about getting what he wants from APOLLO. (1/2)
assuming that signal sender APOLLO exists + is bent on conquering or something that Sylens could comfortably align with, do you think quasi-religious thinking would color his view of APOLLO, or would it only be a case of getting what he wants and then getting the hell out of dodge (like the conclave), with backstabbing plans ready just in case? or who knows, i feel like Sylens could hold both positions. he could easily be the type who has no problem defying or killing god, so to speak. (2/2)
This is a really interesting question! And it gets into my feelings about how HZD portrayed the Banuk religion, so I’m going to talk a little about that first.
We’ve seen two groups of Banuk in the game: the hunters living with unusually peaceful machines near the satellite, and the people living among unusually dangerous machines in the Cut. The Cut is not Ban-Ur; it’s a contested area with its own unique recent political history. Even the experience of the Blue Light there is different, since Ourea has a direct line to CYAN. Other than the story of Banukai, we don’t actually get a lot of confirmation about what people believe the Blue Light is or how it is worshipped when Banuk are at home
