Ed Sheeran Talks "Really Cool" Girlfriend; Wants Taylor Swift to Date Orlando Bloom
Ed Sheeran may have a second career as a matchmaker! The “I See Fire” singer told Us Weekly which Hollywood star he has picked out to be Taylor Swift’s next boyfriend.
“Orlando Bloom,” Sheeran, 23, told Us when asked who he would love to see Swift date. Newly single since his split from wife Miranda Kerr, the Hobbit star, 37, recently hung out with Swift’s pal Selena Gomez in Los Angeles.
Swift, 24, who collaborated with Sheeran on the 2013 song “Everything Has Changed,” already met the new woman in Sheeran’s life. While there is little public knowledge about his girlfriend, Sheeran told Us that she “works for a food company — well not a food company, she works for a chef.”
"We went for dinner in London, Sheeran told Us about introducing his mystery girlfriend to Swift. She likes her."
The food-inclined female — whom he declined to name — has a fan in Sheeran himself as well, as he called her “nice” and “really cool.” He added that his girlfriend is a great cook and that because she is Greek, her specialty, is “anything Greek.”
While the lady in question may be using her talents to win over Sheeran, he says he is not returning the favor. He told Us he doesn’t sing to her in private “because that’s really creepy and weird.”
“If someone did that to you,” he continued, “Like legitimately, if someone sat you down like, ‘hey baby, I’ll come play some’ you’d be a bit awkward about it, right?”
While he hasn’t named names, there is speculation that Sheeran’s love is radio promotions worker Athina Andrelos. The only clue he gave to Us about his female companion is that they met through his tour. (x)
TAYLOR SWIFT INVITES THE VAMPS OVER FOR A DINNER PARTY: ‘SHE REFUSED TO LET US WASH UP’
If you spend your days planning how to get boybands to marry you and how to turn your life into an actual fanfic, then DON’T GIVE UP - because The Vamps lads have proved that fangirl dreams really do come true, and bagged themselves a date with actual Taylor Swift.
Not only did the boys get to support Swifty on UK leg of her Red tour, but she also treated them to a home-cooked meal to say thanks, and a private viewing of her tinkling the ivories too as a bit of a bonus. Oh thanks for the invite, you guys.
Proving that we definitely need to try and organise a celeb edition of Come Dine With Me, Taylor invited The Vamps over to her swanky LA home, and rather than just ordering in a posh chef to do all the hardwork, she properly cooked them something with her own immaculately manicured hands.
Chatting to the Daily Star, Tristan revealed: “We supported Taylor on tour and she is the nicest, most down-to-earth person I’ve met.”
“She invited us to dinner, cooked a gorgeous curry and then refused to let us wash up. In the end we all grabbed a tea-towel and did the pots together.”
No word if James, the ultimate Swifty fangirl, actually made it out alive after seeing her getting all wet in a pair of Marigolds and squirting her Fairy Liquid all over the place. OOH ERR.
And the amazingness didn’t stop there, as Tay also then apparently invited the lads to sing with her around the piano as she played a few tunes. ERM, how do we bag an invite for a Taylor Swift dinner party? We’ll play the spoons…? (x)
Taylor Swift Breaks Shanghai Record Selling Out The Mercedes-Benz Arena In One Minute
Fastest Ticket On-Sale In Chinese History
Taylor Swift sold out Shanghai’s Mercedes-Benz Arena in one minute, making it the fastest ticket on-sale in Chinese history. Seven-time GRAMMY® winner Taylor Swift announced last month that in response to strong fan demand she would take her critically-acclaimed The RED Tour to Asia this summer. Fan demand true, the seven Asian dates sold out in record speeds and broke history books with the fastest ticket on-sale in Chinese history. The RED Tour is promoted by AEG Live Asia.
Taylor Swift’s The RED Tour has earned universally high praise from top critics:
Rolling Stone — “A massively excellent show. Seeing Taylor Swift live in 2013 is seeing a maestro at the top of her or anyone’s game. No other pop auteur can touch her right now for emotional excess or musical reach. Red [is] the slickest, smartest and just plain best mega-pop statement of our time. Seeing Taylor onstage now is seeing….total commitment, total fan fervor, total connection between audience and performer. A true arena-rock goddess at an amazing peak.”
The New York Times — “A king-size spectacle, [whose] juxtapositions have power, one theatrical scene after the next. Taylor Swift off-script is very much like Taylor Swift on-script: not just the brains of the operation, but the brawn, too, the unflappable force that ensures stuck landings. Ms. Swift’s voice is stronger than it’s ever been, and also sturdier….she sang vividly from behind a piano, show[ing] credible dark emotion.”
The Times (London) — “Impressive. Taylor Swift offers a dream package, and she does it brilliantly….a perfect balance between professionalism and intimacy. The biggest thing in music.”
The Guardian (London) – “Swift knows how to put on a show. Spectacular.”
The Daily Telegraph (Sydney, AU)— “Taylor Swift dazzles. Her musicality is undeniable.”
Last year, the North American portion of Taylor’s The RED Tour played to more than 1.36 million fans over 66 shows (including 13 stadium stops) in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months. Also in 2013, Taylor took her RED Tour Down Under — performing sold out stadium shows in Australia (as well as arena dates in New Zealand), becoming the first solo female artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium concert tour of Australia. The tour has already visited Europe for six sold-out shows in 2014.
Taylor Swift, who writes all of her own songs, is a seven-time GRAMMY winner, and is the youngest winner in history of the music industry’s highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. She is the #1 digital music artist of all time, the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album hit the 1 million first-week sales figure, and is the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums. Taylor has an album on Rolling Stone’s prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, Time magazine has named her one of the 100 Most Influential people in the world, and she is Billboard’s youngest-ever Woman of the Year. Taylor, who is signed to Big Machine Records, has career record sales in excess of 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads worldwide, and has had singles top both the country and pop radio charts around the globe.
Taylor’s album RED, released just over a year ago on Big Machine Records, has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide to date, including more than 1.2 million copies in the U.S. in its first week, scoring the highest first-week sales debut of any album in over a decade. Taylor is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album (2012’sRED and 2010’sSpeak Now) hit the 1 million first-week sales figure. WithRED, Taylor became the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums.

Sounders defender Dylan Remick fueled by Taylor Swift
The Seattle Sounders are preparing for their first road game of the season this weekend, and while the team sets its sights on the Montreal Impact, the players are also going through their own rituals to prepare.
At this point in the week, defender Dylan Remick tells KIRO Radio’s Jason Rantz they’re working on physical and tactical preparation. As they get closer to game day, they’ll begin to study their opponent.
"At the end of the week that’s when we sort of focus in on the team that we’re playing," says Remick. "We get more in tune with how we want to play and how we want to attack the game and approach the game and what to expect from the other team."
On the day of the big game, Remick has a means of preparation that’s uniquely his own: he listens to a lot of Taylor Swift music.
"This actually started in high school," says Remick. "I started listening to it before games, and the first few games…I played particularly well, and we played really well as a team. So that sort of became my ritual before every game."
His favorite Taylor Swift song is a newer one, “I Knew You Were Trouble.” He says her music helps him get into the right space to play well.
"Call it a little superstition, but it sort of calms me down before games and now it just gets me in the right mindset, sort of gets me back to the early days and where I’ve come from, how far I’ve come in my soccer journey." (x)
Taylor Swift Exposes Secret to Bangin’ Body
The country megastar was photographed leaving a recent Ballet Bodies class in Los Angeles.
“T. Swift looking fabulous walking out of Ballet Bodies! #balletbodies #taylorswift,” the company posted on their Instagram account.
According to E! News, Taylor has become a devoted fan of the classes, which combine “pilates, personal training and ballet to create an aesthetic as long, lean and graceful as a dancer’s.”
Natalie Portman, Christina Ricci and Sara Michelle Gellar are also among the famous faces who have shown up at Ballet Bodies. (X)
How Taylor Swift Made "Downton Abbey" Star Cry
Many Downton Abbey fans have likely shed a tear while watching the wildly-popular PBS series, thanks to all the deaths, births and proposals that have transpired over the show’s four seasons. Now, one of the series’ stars reveals who makes her cry: Taylor Swift.
Michelle Dockery, who plays Lady Mary Crawley on Downton Abbey, tells People magazine that the last time she cried was at one of Taylor’s shows. Why? She explains, “My godchildren went to see [her] in concert and got to meet her. They literally ran toward her and hugged her, and it was amazing.”
“I got big bonus points for that,” Dockery adds. “I’ll remind them when they are teenagers.” (x)
