HOLY SHIT ORLANDO BLOOM GIVING AN AWARD IN THE DISNEY LEGENDS AWARDS HOLY FUCKING SHIT
Probably from Thranduil's Facebook
I live for Orlando bloom in Elizabethtown, like yes I am him 1000%, awkward, has trouble talking to his family cause he doesn't know what to say, and finds comfort in one person that understands him
Side by Side
Harmless Gossip and Chemistry
I have heard it directly and looked everywhere, this opinion is always the same:
Viggo was something special back in the day (I still imagine him to be). And no I don't mean, in the cinematic, bizarre "Everyone fell in love with him as soon as he showed up" way.
He was simply a compelling and extremely kind person.
The type of respect he seemed to elicit in people became a talking point.
It was hard to dislike him, and even harder to ignore the guy.
Viggo was humble, energetic, warm, physical, and a bit intense at times. Soft spoken but loud. Quiet but forthright. And very charming.
He and Sean Bean shared a sharp sense of humour and similar political ideas, it seemed. They both had a quiet but undeniable commanding persona, and it was clear everyone was fascinated by them (And very thankful for making everyone's job easier).
They were funny and playful and a bit chaotic.
They adored each other.
Orlando was new to all of it. And while well liked by the cast, it was harder for him to garner respect.
He was also the youngest child from a wealthy family and someone who had been on his own since 16.
He was VERY pretty (and he made sure to check this every time he came across a reflection) and excitable and, apparently, a little spoilt around the crew (although unfailingly polite).
I don't suppose anyone would have imagined Viggo (and to some extent Sean) to take a kid like that under his wing. And probably, they would have rather avoided him at first. But not for long.
Perhaps because Orlando didn't leave them much choice. Perhaps because Viggo had a soft spot for people who listened to him and clearly needed to be listened to and understood too. Perhaps because Orlando was more lonely than it appeared. Perhaps because Viggo, despite being humble, liked to teach and be followed. Sean loved to affectionately tease. Orlando wanted to be taught and never minded being teased.
Perhaps because Orlando might have been a bit of a silly, brash kid, but he was also described as sweet, surprisingly sensitive, and in search of validation.
And who wouldn't want validation from the guy that everyone respects and adores?
And then one day they stopped seeing Viggo and Sean proudly walking around side by side with Orlando nervously trailing behind them trying to keep up and make himself heard, and they started seeing all three of them walking together.
