We just compiled our first newsletter! It contains factoids about who we are and what we are working on, and even a bit about our vulture. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please message us with your email address.
In 2013 we inherited a cranky old king vulture named Gus. He couldn’t fly because his wings were deformed. But he could certainly bite. Eventually we won each other’s hearts, and now he is a joy to have around the office.
"Baby Buitreraptor", a royal relative of Velociraptor. The young blue-blood is wearing what appears to be a strapless dress. The image is sweet and dainty enough for a baby's nursery, yet also tasteful and classical enough to go in your parlor room.
Our artwork makes a tote bag look surprisingly stylish!
Trumpeter swans are able to create their signature honks because they have such a long and convoluted trachea. Illustration by Michelle Leveille for the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Note that this image has been flipped, and the trachea actually deviates to the right in its pathway to the lungs.
