I would not get my hopes up for a leak. As for the U.S. release date, well, you’ll have no shortage of places blaring that when Netflix finally gets around to announcing it.

So whats the deal with snk movie? Is it bad, good, should we fear it, hate it, anticipate it, what? I look to you for knowledge because i trust u more than Google in this matter.

I had fun with it. A lot of the negative reviews I’ve seen have struck me as overly (or completely) obsessed with its deviations from the source material, which is a terrible way to judge a movie. (Especially a financially-constrained adaptation of a manga that’s 60% finished and far too long for a two-part movie already.) I certainly have my own issues with it - the color palette is terrible, for starts - but the psychosexual horror elements are what make it work for me.

I want to elaborate on that point when the movie gets its official release over here. (I also have a post planned on how the Titans themselves fit into the kaiju genre.)

Godzilland?

Godzilland is an old merchandise line/series of educational OVAS from the 80s and 90s featuring adorable versions of many Toho kaiju. It experienced a renaissance of popularity this year thanks to the tireless efforts of rustybottlecap and the niconico users who uploaded the tapes.
