It’s so sad that students are now relying so heavily on AI for writing essays because they’re missing out on the best part of writing an essay which is when you’re a few paragraphs in and you just reach that flow state where your thought process becomes one with the essay and you’re slamming the keys so hard that you’re on the verge of destroying your laptop. I used to get high off of that shit

A trio of business analysts at Duke University has found that people who use AI apps at work are perceived by their colleagues as less diligent, lazier and less competent than those who do not use them. In their study, published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Jessica Reif, Richard Larrick and Jack Soll carried out four online experiments asking 4,400 participants to imagine they were in scenarios in which some workers used AI and some did not, and how they viewed themselves or others working under such circumstances.

Have y’all heard that Tesla is removing turn signal stalks and gear selectors from their cars as a “feature.”

They did it with the Model S and X earlier this year, and they’re about to refresh the Model 3 to do the same. Since the Model 3 and Y share about 75% of the same parts, it’s safe to assume it’ll get the same treatment very soon, too. Meaning, 100% of Tesla’s lineup is about to have zero stalks on the steering column.

You activate turn signals via CAPACITIVE touch buttons on the steering wheel, and you don’t shift the car at all. The car decides what direction it thinks you want to go, using AI. You can override it’s “thinking” on the touch screen.

Headlights and windshield wipers are also screen-only now.

has anyone else noticed the amount of AI images used within fanfictions recently, it breaks my heart every time, keep the damn AI out of fanfiction pleaasse. It's literally the only space left on the damn web not infected.

Better to have typos then AI written fanfiction

The more I see of the rise in AI fanfiction, the more I’ve come to be not so hard on myself when I write. How I don’t get words perfect on the first page, or how I have typos.

It’s fanfiction. A art form where you write because you enjoy it.

And you know what?

Typos, messed up sentences, jumbled expressions, people who don’t speak English as a native tongue, all that is called being human.

Give me those typos

Give me those grammar mistakes

Give me the fun of writing

And give me that comfort that says “you aren’t perfect, and that’s what makes you perfect”

Write because you what to and have fun

Not because you typed a prompt for a AI to give you

But because you wanted to create something

Because you had a idea and wanted to share it

May it get five hits, five hundred, five thousand, whatever!

Make it

Make it messy

Make it because you simply can

Enjoy creating, and enjoy the fact it is imperfect, messy, and your own words
