Ok I cheated and added Ray but ALLLLLLL my ideas were like comics and such, and this was the only thing I could compress into something small, the demons still took over and made me color it tho lol

Don’t look too close at rays hands, I was just making shit up and he is NOT holding anything, let’s pretend he’s actually got brilliant crown making technique that a simpleton like me couldnt begin to comprehend

🌊 What’s the hardest thing for you to draw?

backgrounds :) I try to expand on them at times and mess around with them in drawings but its always a bit of a challenge. its also hard to draw humans but im working on getting better at that as well. im also not the biggest fan of still life

i wish my art was more... hmm.. i honestly dont know what i wish more of in my art. I’m always improving and im always trying to learn more. my art will get better over time as well as literally anyones.

since I saw your post about art requests, I’m throwing my humble suggestion into the ring: I’d love to see more art involving manic being a drummer! an idea that popped in my head was maybe mighty helps carry all of manic’s drums to a gig since he’s so strong (lol 😭)

Idk how to draw drums but also I convinced myself i didnt need a ref so I just made shit up ✌️😜

Omg this idea is so silly, and it fits the story I made up in my head so well lol

I imagined that Sonic, Manic and Sonia split up a long time ago, but Manic and Sonia went to find sonic bc the medallions stopped working, and like, now Manic has to use normal drums that he can’t just summon lol

Also about not knowing much abt the characters, there’s not much to learn lol, I watched the entirety of sonic underground in 2 days and it took me one night to read every part of Archie with modern mighty lol, there are some issues where there’s a classic-ish mighty that I haven’t read? And apparently there’s a sonic underground comic that finished the story but I haven’t been able to find it.

Lmao idk why of all the drawings I could make of them I chose to make this?? I have so many ideas in my brain and they’re all fighting to be the next thing I draw

FAR too many are huge ass comics tho, I can’t help myself!! There’s so many loose ends to tie up with both of their stories and I sometimes just lay in bed imagining how to continue them

I have to choose between making the art requests or making the story, and all the requests are too silly I have to draw them💔 besides, the story i made up is mostly for me and isn’t required for other people to understand what I post (not that I usually care abt that much but yknow)

I realized much too late that Ray is the only one being taught anything, oops

Manic is turning Ray into an adrenaline junkie, and Ray would definitely adopt some of his lingo after hanging out, he probably considered this event “totally wicked”

I feel like mighty would hate extreme gear lol, he only likes flying when Ray is holding onto him yknow

Also this highkey made me think up a whole story where Manic meets the Babylon rouges before he even met sonic (making deals/trades for merchandise and such) and Manic’s foster dad could have bought a broken up prototype off them that Manic fixed up himself!!

I just love how Manic is the resident mechanic in sonic underground, and this is probably what made him really consider himself one

I didn’t draw it scrappy like it probably would be, my designs a little wonky and will probably change a lot, but for the purposes of this request I figured it would do.

Also about the requests, I would prefer they were sent in as asks just because it’s easier to post, im still not really sure if I formatted this right lol

But if you ever have another request (and this goes for anyone) leave as many as you like! I can’t promise I’ll get to all of them in a timely manner (or at all) but I haven’t gotten a request recently that i didn’t want to draw lol

Hey I'm Obsessed with your Manic x Mighty art, and I wanted to ask like, how do you draw? The way you draw such bold, clean lines is incredibly appealing! Is it digital or traditional, and what hardware/materials do you use?

My lineart is super dependent on pen pressure for line weight and opacity, it’s a completely different look when I don’t use an Apple Pencil lol

Here’s the brush I use https://marielveve.gumroad.com/l/Sketchingbrush it’s a sketching brush but I literally use it for everything, coloring, shading, i love it it’s so satisfying

Almost all the art i post is digital, but i like to sketch in traditional, then do lineart in digital a lot. (You can tell which ones I sketched in traditional bc I use a much smaller brush when lining them, i have no idea why)

I use procreate for iPad, and an (old barely working) Apple Pencil, but when I do traditional I like to experiment a lot. sometimes it’s different materials or a different process but I like to switch things up, im very privileged to have so many art supplies to do so with lol

Hi! Convinced anon here- I've been doing art all my life, and I'm turning 23 soon! You're 16, and the fact that you're able to commit to studies and your own art style at all is super impressive! That feeling really doesn't ever go away, unfortunately- though it does get better! You'll learn how to fight off those thoughts, and I'm really happy my ask was so well timed!!

Just a tip, in case you get even more popular (because you SHOULD !): don't feel pressured to make more art. Do art when *you* want to, that's when it'll look its best! Never feel bad for any "content drought" or whatever. Remember this isn't your job! You're just having fun! <3333

Thats just one of those things you tell everyone but urself man…. Luckily I’m still having fun making the doodles I have, but it probably wouldn’t be crazy to expect it to slow down for a bit lol.

Also I rlly don’t FEEL committed to my style, I’m always switching up tiny little things, but I forget just now tiny they are, like the distance between eyes or the torso-limb ratio being adjusted by the pixel, lmao

But I’m getting off track, Ty, convinced anon, I’m gonna work on giving myself a break a bit more often lol

Yes! I plan on drawing them after I’ve finished the books and know about the tribes! I just haven’t had the time or chance to continue reading lately 😭
