Meagan and Nikolas rent the 2nd fl. in a Brooklyn, New York City duplex. Meagan is a visual artist which means that she paints on anything and everything, but murals are her favorite.

They looked at over 40 apts. before they found this one.
Meagan says the apt. fits her personality and she is its curator.
A lot of people define Meagan’s style as “artsy,” which is true, but she likes to say “high class bohemian with some avant garde sprinkled in.”
The 2nd bd. has access to a lovely balcony and is used as their apothecary/tea room/guest room.

Being renters, comes with its own challenges when decorating — there is only so much you can change. Thankfully, their landlords are pretty open to ideas. Meagan hated the bathroom, but since she couldn’t change it structurally, she did it with paint.
This small spare room serves as her studio.
