SOME PEOPLE ENJOYED LOUNGEWEAR and sweats in class; I didn’t enjoy lounging; in fact, I carried a briefcase in school instead of a book bag. And when I started to really learn what spoke to me I carried nothing. I think Aesthetic should be taken seriously all ways. But what the Aesthetic is, changes. None of this shit matters when you’re reading about how the Suffragists were not the most accepting of Black Women in terms of wanting to be recognized as a lady, but that’s another story.
