· Love what you make because it comes from you, whether you feel it's beautiful, boring, fascinating or ugly they are pieces of you. All my uglies are set aside in an unorganized manner and stuff gets piled on top of them to be found another day. When I've forgotten these uglies and rediscover them with new eyes, I tear them up, use them whole or bring them back to ground zero with the great equalizer - white gesso. Ultimately, my uglies become parts of my little books because that's where I put all of my good, bad and ugly, I guess that's why I find it so difficult to sell them.
