The Plastic Island, a giant 32x49 foot glowing sculpture, floats in the Cascais Bay in Portugal. The installation, made from 5,000 plastic bottles by guerrilla art group Luzinterruptus, hopes to call attention to the ongoing and burgeoning issue of ocean pollution.

Redefying Oddities, One Normality At a Time 

What would you call reverse bungee jumping, furniture made of onion rings, a mobile bed with a protective stained glass pod surrounding it, and a bird listening device consisting of nothing more than a frisbee, hose and handheld shower head? If you’re Dominic Wilcox, there’s a word to this absurdity: normal. Dominic is gaining creative credibility for reinventing common household appliances and putting a bit of a twist on well-known ideas. This video allows us to delve into his unusual mind, as we witness how he gains his inspiration.
