Hi there! I've only been following your blog for a little, but I've noticed you appreciate cryptids. So I felt compelled to share with you one of the more obscure creatures of my native Sweden; the Mörksugga. She comes out at sundown, lurks in shadows/dark places, and eats children who are out alone after dark. She's local to the region of Dalarna, looks like the evilest Moomin troll you ever saw, can also shapeshift, and can be found in both rural and urban settings. (1/2)

(2/2) There’s unfortunately not a lot of good written sources on her - most of it is shared as part of the oral history of the region’s folklore, etc., but I could try to dig around for some if you’d like. I just love our local evil Moomin, and I think she deserves all the attention she can get. (Also, sorry about randomly invading your inbox with obscure Swedish cryptids, and please don’t feel like you have to answer - but I just wanted to share this).
