Maybe I could've waited until mermay to brainrot a Mer AU but like.. I'm brainrotting right now :,] Brief Yap:

Basically, all of Teyvat but in the ocean- each Region is it's own place in the ocean and quite far apart (because the ocean is HUGE!!) Each Region has it's own perks and also dangers. (EX. Natlan may be closer to the surface, so they have more issues with ships going over-head.) The abyss is the deepest part of the ocean, it used to be Khaenri'ah but something happened and now it's this dangerous place that will alter your very being if you're there for too long. There's pods, loner mers, etc throughout the ocean, Aether and Lumine in this AU are basically told by their parents that they're old enough (even though they aren't) to go out on their own and they make them leave their territory. Which leads to Aether and Lumine travelling alone for a while searching for somewhere to live. They wander too far towards the abyss and get attacked then separated. Lumine is taken to the abyss, Aether is left behind injured. This is when Ajax (Childe) would find him and help him out. In this AU, Ajax also got separated from his family from an abyssal attack some time ago and he's been searching for them ever since. He's a wonderful older brother and knew exactly how to help Aether- and they both start travelling together to find their families! Ok that was more than a brief yap, I think. But here's more of my Childe & Aether being brothers propaganda cuz I have to feed myself somehow. And.. what's that...? Brainrot more AUs..? WILL DO!!! I started writing a fanfiction for this, who knows if I'll finish it! We'll see. :>

scrolling through my art from old to new is super interesting on here.. you can really see the improvement in both how I draw and how I perceive/write characters. cringe to a different kinda cringe, how awesome :]
