SKILL BASED LEARNING – An Art of Survival

In connection to my previous discussion on the transformation of education from Qualification-based to a skill-based, I would further like to emphasize the significance of this very term ‘Skill’.

I define skill as that attribute of a being which must be mastered with virtues like hard work, expertise, and the like to realize its true potentiality. Only a goal-oriented attitude towards a target shall give you the adequate confidence to pursue any skill. A true character is built when your skill and self-confidence go hand-in-hand.

When theory and practice cohere each other in equal degrees, as part of any learning, then and only then our educational system can lead its path to a new age of synthesis.

 As the very purpose of education is to make man’s life simple, skill bestows him to transform his knowledge into immediate-experience. Skill-Acquisition is not just a technique; it is the very Art of Survival.

Here, I would like to take a step beyond “Employability”. The skill-acquisition is to lead the life successfully, build relationships, be happy and achieve goals. 

Hence, I strongly believe Skill-based education process internalize the skills and drives students to make their dreams come true!!!
