Monday 17 January from 12:00 pm (CET) till late night THE CAVE is a curatorial project minded by Rimini (Italy) based contemporary musicians Jacopo Buda and Demetrio Cecchitelli. The aim of the mission is to extend the Italian underground electronic and electroacoustic scene by inviting guest sound artists. A will to recreate a sort of listening zone, in which the interchange can be possible: a growing community. Partecipants (running order): Demetrio Cecchitelli, Jacopo Buda, M.qr, Michele Papa, Emil Kr and Nizaar. Featuring local luminaries Treebot, Pictogram, Frankenstorm & Konig. Art's Birthday is an annual event first proposed in 1963 by French artist Robert Filliou. As he tells it, 1,000,000 years ago, there was no art. But one day, on the 17th of January to be precise, Art was born. According to Filliou, it happened when someone dropped a dry sponge into a bucket of water: "Modest beginnings, but look at us now!" Filliou proposed a public holiday to celebrate the presence of art in our lives. In recent years, the idea has been taken up by a loose network of artists and friends around the world.
