At the door, they were stopped by a huge bouncer who took a quick look at them, gestured to Chong to move closer to him, and calmly said, ‘Not Today Maybe Tomorrow’. I made a giant #billboard that said #NotTodayMaybeTomorrow that hung outside @artsonje_center #ArtsonjeCenter in #Seoul as a strange, unfulfilling, mostly empty promise that lingers so deeply within the art world. For my solo exhibition @artsonje_center in #Seoul, I made an entire #exhibition around a #shortstory of a non-profit art space having a sordid sexual relationship with a commercial gallery. The main work in the show is a banner saying Welcome! but hung wrong. Everything in this show is very, very wrong. I requested for the space in #ArtsonjeCenter to not be cleaned the entire duration of my show. People can smoke inside the gallery. There are #ashtrays provided. "Connect 1: Still Acts" at @artsonje_center consists of three solo exhibitions by #LeeBul, #ChungSeoyoung, and #SoraKim. On the top floor, Lee Bul’s "Cyborg" series, shown at her 1998 solo exhibition (the museum's inaugural show, pictured above) will be installed, together with a rearranged version of "Majestic Splendor," a work seldom on view at museums since the 1990s.
