Find out more about the economic contribution the arts and culture sector makes to the creative industires, and the wider economy.
Arts Council England has released a new report on the macroeconomic contribution of the arts and culture industry to the UK economy. Two things stood out to me: The first is that is shows Gross Value Added by arts & culture increased by over a third between 2010 and 2013; a tough time for the UK economy. The second is that the average arts and culture worker is paid well over the national average wage in the UK. Go figure.
Some photos from our week with musician Jonathan Koh. Looking forward to his artist reflection!
