3.17.21 Lunchtime drawing: I feel like a trope of Instagram art is to include art making tools, whether it be pencils, pens or watercolor sets, to set the stage. Also, I’m wondering, especially now that I’m in the eighth year of my #NicksLunchboxService daily drawing project, just how much Instagram has influenced the way we perceive, interact with, and make art. Another sketch in my studio, today of a sand dollar that’s been hanging around for a while, trying to work on a bit of pen and cross-hatching for a video tutorial I’m recording tomorrow with the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
