Art vs. Artist!

I do most of my work in tombow color pens lately and I love it! They have a fine tip and a brush end. The most important aspect is they don't bleed through my sketchbook pages like copics do. I sketch in marker to get more confident with my lines. You should try it sometime!

CRITICISM All of a sudden I want to talk to you about this topic. As artists we're all sensitive about our art, we all want it to be perfect, we want encouragement and someone to pet us on the back saying "who's a good artist" (that last part is just a joke😬). But there's no art without growth and there's no growth without criticism. Yet there are two types of criticism: constructive and destructive. For example, I almost never post my art on Russian art sites. Because I know that 95% of comments I'll get will be like "ugh the hand looks ugly" or "why do you paint this? Landscapes are more cool" or "what's wrong with her skin tones?!She looks sick". And I get these comments from people who can't even draw\paint they were just walking by. This negativity they want to share with the world makes me feel shitty. Yeah yeah, I know it's not about me and they're just miserable bastards who get their kicks from saying mean things. But these bastards make me doubt myself. Still! I want to improve my skills. I want to hear about my mistakes so I wouldn't make them again and again. You can always criticize your art yourself (and I'm not talking about comparing yourself to another artist). Or you can let the other person criticize your artwork. Because it helps you to look at your creation from a whole other perspective. And I believe that Constructive criticism is always good. So what I was trying to say...don't be afraid to read critique comments because you can always just ignore them and even block this snooty ass😈 Anyway I'm always open to Constructive criticism so feel free to give me your honest feedback about my art OR my mistakes in English grammar 😂 Seriously, I would appreciate it 🤓 What do you think about criticism?
