RIRKRIT TIRAVANIJA: It’s interesting, and this is a funny coincidence, I was the first person to use Maurizio’s Golden Toilet recently installed in the Guggenheim. And it was by chance, because I was having a meeting with Nancy Spector who was working on the project, and we were next door, and Maurizio was installing it, so she needed to go check it, and I wanted to say hello to him, so we went, and they were all standing awkwardly outside, and Calvin Tompkins was there with Dodie, his partner, and they were kind of awkwardly standing there, and everyone was saying, oh, you should use it! And I, of course, was going to go to the bathroom anyway, so I said okay, I'll use it. And so I went in and used it. So I was the first person to use it. It all comes back to the ready-made and putting it on the wall and pissing into it. Life comes together, always. But that is also the aspect, the kind of using, is related to time and space and process. So in a way, process is just living in it. And I think we're just going to have to live in it.
