Drawing one Fire Emblem character each day until my senior year ends

Day 273 - Arvis, Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War (Request by @illusionsignmisdirecti0n)

Gangrel and Arvis from Fire Emblem are the same character. I will elaborate:

- Redhead antagonist who faces off against a blue haired lord who either himself or his kingdom has been a threat to theirs, enacts a plan to kill someone to thwart them and succeeds in that regard (for Gangrel, it was Emmeryn, for Arvis it was…almost everyone)

- Later they come to find grief and regret for their actions even though they believed that they were doing what had to be done. And (barring that you don’t marry Gangrel) they die in grief, never able to make up for their transgressions in their minds.

- Both of them worked with parties working under the shadows for their own sinister causes

Manfroy wanted a child w Loptyr blood for his god, the Grimleal wants to awaken Grima.

They both wanted to awaken evil gods with the aid of said redhead villain

- They’re both definitely not straight, but the game doesn’t allow them to like men.

- They both have (or can have) red headed sons.

What differentiates them here is that Gangrel’s son Morgan loves him and is not a product of forced incest by said shadowy party.

(Idk if Julius loves his dad, but I do know he’s a lil messed up by that dragon blood.)

- They lost their moms at a young age.

Gangrel’s mom died when he was young, Arvis’ mom dipped when he was young, taking Deirdre and leaving him with his father.

- Not directly related to the two, but said Blue Haired Lord that faces off against them sires a Blue Haired Child that will come in the future to help take down the evil Dragon God that the main villain of the game has reawakened.

Hell, the whole marriage + child unit system in Awakenings lifted from Genealogy.

- They’re both really hot.

Did this for the heir to the holy flame zine! It was hosted on twitter so I dont have a link sadly but I had fun drawing some fire! Also I was under a time crunch originally, this version is a little more complete than the one in the zine.

Happy first day of ArtEmblem! My prompt today was Jugdral and infantry, so I chose to draw Arvis!

I know admittedly very little about Genealogy and Thracia as a whole, so I hope I've done him justice. ^_^
