Okay, I mentioned that Sahed would like the character Arvis from Fire Emblem, but I started thinking more and more about the awful shit Arvis did in that game, and would now like to explain to those who don't know just how much this red man fucked with people.
So first thing's first, in the game Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War (FE4 for short), you play as this beautiful blue bastard named Sigurd.
Early on in the game, he rescues this lovely girl named Deirdre, and the two get married within the first five chapters and are very happy together.
Right after Sigurd and Deirdre have their first kid named Seliph, Arvis fucking KIDNAPS Deirdre and BRAINWASHES HER so that she has no memory of Sigurd and thinks that she's only ever been married to Arvis.
Sigurd, devastated, tracks Arvis down to this castle called Belhalla and finds Deirdre, but she looks at him and has no recollection of anything he's saying. As he screams in grief and anger (in a way that no FE protagonist ever truly does and I love), Arvis summons an ENTIRE METEOR SHOWER and wipes out Sigurd and his ENTIRE FUCKING ARMY.
Then the game gives you a credits sequence and tells you the name of each and every unit killed at the Tragedy of Belhalla, then SKIPS AHEAD 16 YEARS to Sigurd's son Seliph who is now finally ready to avenge his father and take back his kingdom.
Meanwhile, Arvis also had two kids with Deirdre named Julius and Julia.
His own son ends up becoming possessed by a dark dragon named Loptous and kills Deirdre, and Arvis, after nearly two decades, starts to realize he might've fucked up.
He does some honorable shit before he ends up being killed out of revenge for Sigurd, but MAN, HE'S SUCH A CRUEL VILLAIN IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE GAME, AND I LOVE IT.
Anyways, thanks for reading. Y'all should play FE4 because it has one of the best stories of any Fire Emblem game imo.
