Mid-semester break is finally here!! I’ve caught up all except one lecture for classes so I decided to treat myself to some self-directed study tonight. I’m currently working on the AP Environmental Science course on Khan Academy - it’s very basic to me so far but I feel like going through these modules will be good for consolidating the knowledge I’ve gained through the last couple of years in uni!

[22.06.2017] I had my last exam for the semester (biology) today and if I learned anything it’s that IF THERE ARE DICTIONARIES ALLOWED GET ONE!! Honestly I finished the exam with more than half an hour to go and I was bored so I got the supervising teacher to bring me one of the approved dictionaries and it genuinely had the definitions of things that we were even asked the definitions of. Get the dictionary, especially in Bio or Chem exams.
[26.05.2018] it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted and I don’t really have anything interesting to post about other than that I went to see Angus and Julia Stone last night at Flinders University. I was in the very front row against the barricade and honestly it was breathtaking the entire time. Both Angus and Julia are absolute cuties, and their support act Angie McMahon was amazing.
[02-09-2017] four-day weekend this week and i’m super keen to get up to date or ahead on some stuff. so far i’ve managed to catch my english journals up from two weeks ago, start my music assignment, and have a vague attempt at my math work. proving and solving similar triangles is a killer at the moment though, it isn’t making sense to me or anyone else on my table, and we’ve had subs for the last three lessons. note the mistakes in the book work on the picture above as proof that studyblrs are not all perfect. i also had my meeting to choose subjects for next year and oh boy. of course i’m the difficult student that wants an extra line of classes and has chosen mostly classes that they will only run one each of.

Today i started semester two of this year and it was also my friend’s birthday. I can already tell that this semester is going to be one of my favourites of high school. I swapped out some of my classes i was given over the weekend too, and now i am in classes with one of my best friends who i haven’t shared a class with since grade eight. with them i have music (in which i am the pianist in his band along with four other guys) and english, which i actually share with several people i am quite close too. i have also elected to take the outdoor education class offered by my school, which i am super excited about.
i’m super hyped about my advanced math class and new history and science classes, because i love the teachers i have and i have people i really really like in the classes.

exam week starts tomorrow, so i'm hurrying to revise and make my cheat sheets (the ones that i am allowed to have) but also trying not to worry. i went for brunch with my aunt, sister, and mum earlier today, and with a full stomach i can focus on working hard.

[26-03-2017] recap: on friday my friends, an exchange student, and myself accidentally exploded a test tube of copper oxide and carbon during chemistry. no one got seriously hurt which is the important thing, but it made for some fascinating snapchats. and later that day i spent some more time with one of my best friends and his cat was precious and a highlight of my week. (ft. my french work from tonight)
[12-03-2017] these photos are from wednesday, but that is irrelevant. despite how awful the first few days of this week were, everything has picked up since wednesday. i spent some time at my best friend's house on thursday and being with him always makes me so happy, and we watched the end of a film together at lunch on friday. i've also been really productive. both of my assignments were submitted on time and i've caught up with the work i missed while i was away on wednesday. i've spent so much time with my mum this weekend and i'm so glad i did because we both seem to get so caught up in everything sometimes and don't spend time together
