So I understand the apologies they gave but that doesnāt erase what was said. They were adults and fully aware of the weight and implications of joking about the n-word.
And Iām honestly tired of seeing things like Ā«Ā itās not that deepĀ Ā» or Ā«Ā it was years agoĀ Ā» being used to dismiss it especially when it comes from white people who arenāt even affected by that just to excuse things they donāt want to take seriously.
As an Asian minority, Iām not the target of this but I still donāt accept how easily racism gets brushed off in these discussions.
I can still enjoy the series and look forward to the finale but I wonāt view it the same way or support it like I used to.
