So long story short, my 11 year old brother got into the series of Unfortunate Events books and we bought him the prequel series, and I decided to go the extra mile and write him a letter as Lemony Snicket

My DearesT Reader, It saddens me to hear you’ve become so interested in my telling of a tale as miserable and Woeful as that of the Baudelaire orphans and their villainous –a word in which here means “Greedy, VIle, and unfortunately cunning”- pursuer Count Olaf. Alas if I were to tell you not to read that would make me as eQually terrible as the villains I have had the displeasure of researching and writing about, so instead I would try and persuade you to read a much happier tale such as Dog Man 2 by Dan Pikley, or The Art of War by Sun Tzu. THough it does strike me as peculiar you’ve apparently been making great progress in these tales I’ve recounted, it has become my best interest to send you another series of tales not nearly as Unfortunate but just as mysterious as the tale of the Baudelaire Orphans. It however saddens me to say due to certain circumstances –a phrase which here means “I am being pursued by an angry village, several club wielding nuns and Violently Firing Demolitionists”- I have to send these tales one at a time through different couriers.
