Commentary by Asakura Daisuke
Published in the hide BIBLE (by Akemi Oshima) 2008
I feel like hide-san’s sound is open. Whether it’s rock or pop, it crosses genres and is completely open to the outside. It’s not just a matter of friendliness or straightforwardness, but each note is open. For someone who creates music, keeping things open is difficult as their career progresses. Hide-san’s naturally open stance and sound are a valuable stimulus for me when I am on the verge of closing down.
