hi!!!! i know it's been a while but i saw pj sea of monsters (i only saw a fraction of it years ago and didnt finish it) on tv and then thought about your fic!! i was wondering if there's any difference between the canon's system of camps and the one in pointy objects, esp bc pointy objects doesnt seem to have as much campers as canon. how would nagito and hajime handle the camper's education too btw? and how long as the camp been founded? :0 i hope youre doing well!!
so to your first question: from what i know of the pjo series (which isn’t much -- i’ve listened to the musical obsessively and saw it last year, and that’s about it) the cabin system is based entirely on godly parenthood; apollo’s children reside in the apollo cabin, aphrodite’s kids reside in the aphordite cabin, etc etc, and unclaimed kids reside in hermes’ cabin.
in pointy objects, they all live in their own separate mini cabins, and parenthood doesn’t matter nearly as much as it does in pjo. they don’t define themselves by who their parents are really at all; we have characters like maki and tenko who refuse to name who their godly parents are, and characters like kokichi, gonta, kaito, and shuuichi who just don’t know. so the cabin system is pretty different from pjo!
it’s mentioned briefly in one of the chapters, but all of the year-round campers attend online schooling! hajime is also technically a teacher, so he serves as the main point person with regards to the kids’ educations, but their curriculums are all online.
and the camp has been around for a long, long time! it’s purpose has shifted throughout the years, though. it started out being a place for demigods to train and become powerful warriors, and at certain points in history it has served as a safe haven for demigods being persecuted. finally, after junko arose to power and barred godly parents from seeing their children, it began to function as a place for demigods to go to be safe from junko, as well as hold onto that aspect of their lives!
