Collateral Damage Magic System! These notes are representative of what the general population knows about magic. There's a lot more and specific characters have more niche knowledge, but after some thoughts and many discussions, it makes sense to kill the secret and make magic more common knowledge and America a lot weirder :))
#collateral damage#matt#asanti#simon is officially a student of the arcane now#not just a hobbyist#and the government is doing a lot more shady shit behind the scenes#anybody in this world has the ability to practice or study magic#but the drawbacks generally outweigh the advantages so 98% of people would rather the arcane plane stay as far away from them as possible#both asanti and violet practice a more crunchy granola version of magic than the official studious routes#and neither would appreciate the comparison#violet is actually.......pretty bad at it#poor matt is just a constantly leaking rift#but overall...killing the masquerade/secrets around the arcane actually helps the narrative a lot#and its nice to have these thoughts all out on paper#thanks david for the assist
