I feel like a lot of people in the fandom are doing the most once again. We all watched the last two seasons right?
To say that Louis never placed blame on himself is outrageous.
Louis kept the stones in his feet so that he would not forgot what happened to Claudia and so that he wouldn't forget his part in it.
He arguably tortured himself staying with Armand, because he hoped to hit her killer where it hurt. Then he left Armand after he found out the truth.
He often acts like a passive party to his own life, but he is sure as hell not one to absolve himself from guilt and blame. Arguably he doesn't process these feelings well and instead uses them to torture himself. But he does feel them and expresses that. The whole second interview is him trying to distribute the blame evenly.
The need to flatten one character to make the other one look good leads y'all to some weird places.
