In need of some serious Christmas inspo but finding all those gift inspiration lists just the same as last year? ASAP54 is here to save you! We’ve asked a list of the coolest fashionistas, bloggers and creatives around what they’re lusting after this Christmas so that you can steal their style. Next on our list is one of our favourite bloggers, Ilona Selina..
Hey Ilona, can you tell us a little bit about what you do?
I am a student at NYU, work for an e-commerce start up based in New York, but I am also the blogger behind Route London New York. RLNY is a curated online destination for the modern jet-setter. I founded Route London New York in 2013, with the sole purpose of bringing my readers daily inspiration through my travels, lifestyle and all my favourite things. It has recently been revamped and re-launched, which I’m super excited about!
What was it that inspired you to start blogging?
I actually started blogging in middle school (a long time ago!), which I dropped about half way through high school. However, during my move to New York from London, I missed doing something outside of academics and decided to start Route London New York. I have always loved to express myself through the way that I dress, so this was just another outlet for that.
What has been your highlight so far on your blogging journey?
Attending the H&M x Balmain show in New York – that was an incredible night. So much energy and so much fun. I got to meet some of my biggest idols in the industry.
What’s your favourite thing about Christmas and the festive season?
Gifts, of course! But besides that, I love taking time off and spending it with my family.
Describe your style in three words?
Casual with an edge.
Can you tell us your top five gifts on your Christmas list this year?
The first one in my list would be these Nike Roche sneakers, they are just too gorgeous!
The next thing I’m hoping to receive this Christmas is this Lanvin notebook, where I’ll write in my plans for 2016.
I also love these soft, velvet slippers that are perfect to keep my feet cosy.
This Diptyque Sapin Scented candle has zesty notes of Mandarin that make this an uplifting and surprisingly fresh choice for the festive season.
And last, but not least, the ‘Clay’ hat by Janessa Leone is a timeless piece that will be on trend for ages.

Travelling, meeting new people and learning the culture of style.

Classic, practical and flair.
Can you tell us your top five gifts on your Christmas list this year?
I guess it’s a tradition for men to be given a tie at Christmas, so this year I’d like a simple navy and white polka dot tie.
I am loving the fact that brogues and oxfords have returned and with it, saddle shoes. I would love to get a pair by Christian Kimber for Christmas.
I’d like to receive a new suit this Christmas, they are the epitome of style for men and you can never go wrong with a well tailored suit!
Pocket squares instantly give your suit jacket or blazer a dash of character. It’s a great gift, considering how many styles there are and ways to wear it.
I’d love to get a new pair of sunglasses this Christmas, living in Australia, you can never have too many pairs!

Top of my list is a fur jacket, I’m obsessed with them at the moment!
I’m also hoping to get a pair of my favourite jeans, Levi’s 501s. They go with everything and are easy to dress up with heels!
I’m also really into oversized denim jackets, they look super cool and are really easy to layer up for winter.
Everyone needs a good belt in their wardrobe, and I’m currently lusting after the Gucci belt with a tiger head. It’s a wardrobe classic and will go with anything!
Finally, my wardrobe wouldn’t be complete with my collection of white menswear t-shirts. They give an oversize fit which can’t be beaten so are super easy to throw on everyday!
