Zarya Ashtear, the only child of Lucca and Janus, is truly her father’s daughter. Driven by the desire to ensure his daughter didn’t endure the traumas he did growing up, Janus tends to spoil Zarya endlessly and does not force her to make eye contact or talk.

As a result, Zarya rarely talks and when she does, she doesn’t always make sense to those who don’t know her well. She openly flaps her hands and stims by singing songs. She is also never without her messenger bag full of things she needs and wants.

She has the unusual ability to see magic at all times, most notably the magical auras of her parents and their friends. This ability has also helped her learn spells much faster than her father anticipated.

It was one year ago that I started posting “Zeal Ascendancy”. It all started with the idea of Janus being a teenager like the rest of the group and never having been sent to the Middle Ages. I never imagined I’d get this far or write so much. Thank you everyone for reading the story and I hope you will all enjoy the ending and the upcoming sequel.
