BETH HAD just sat through the Christmas concert, and had for the most part enjoyed it. She appreciated that her first glimpse of many of the people she’d hopefully come to know was of them onstage. After all, you could learn a lot about people through observing them in front of the public. But there were a few aspects of this show that had concerned her. Perhaps it was because she came from a fairly sheltered and conservative lifestyle, but referring to Father Christmas (whom they here in Auradon called Santa Claus) as “Santa Baby” seemed very strange, and a little disconcerting. And the fact that it came form none other than the Princess Aurora herself, one of the few royals Beth actually recognized, made it even more shocking. But Beth didn’t want to jump to any judgmental conclusions. After all, the young Londoner wasn’t all too familiar with Auradon culture. So she sat at a table, humming the song to herself and doodling on a napkin. It ended being two sketches; one of an old man in a baby’s crib, and another of baby in a rocking chair with a beard and pipe. “Are Father Christmas and Santa Baby meant to be the same person?” she wondered aloud, to no one in particular. To her surprise though, someone heard.
‘i don’t think i’ve ever seen so many people in one place.’ she fidgets with the edge of her dress (RED, of course!) before taking a sip of her drink. ‘are we sure the lake house can handle it?’
there’s nothing like the rush of adrenaline after a show. clara still is jumping in place, as the only outlet to let out all of her pent up energy. the crowed seemed to love clara and sterling teaming up on stage, and she had so much fun feeding off of their energy. ‘you did great!’ she grins and hugs sterling once they get backstage. ‘and i think they loved it! you were right; everyone ate it up.’ // @rottncores
‘oh my god, oh my god! d’you see that cloud? it looks like...it looks like my mom when she’s mad.’ clara giggles. the mushrooms were hitting her hard now, and laying on the yacht deck was definitely a step up from the ground at the festival. ‘i love this. i love you, rora. you’re like, one of my best friends still. i haven’t been able to have this much fun in so long.’ // @wickdcores
‘what? you’ve never seen a mermaid before?’ clara lifts her tail up for emphasis. why does she always end up with the tail when she’s drunk? she has no idea, but it seems like a fun party trick people like. ‘wanna come in?’
she’s still more than a little high as she wanders through the festival. all the bright colors and spinning rides make her head spin, but she loves it. she’s looking for lyric, but can’t seem to find her phone to text her where she is. all of the sudden, she spots blonde hair next to her and she recognizes her immediately. ‘oh! you’re cj hook! you went on a date with my sister.’ say that a little louder, won’t you clara? ‘do you know where she is? i need her.’ // @ascendheirs
‘hey! welcome!’ clara grins at the person entering her party. she is nothing if not a good hostess- probably the only thing she picked up in the so-called princess lessons as a kid. ‘there’s pairs of pjs over here if you need any,’ she gestures to a stack of extra pajamas. ‘drinks at the bar of course, and popcorn by every mattress. hopefully i have enough mattresses!’
