01. Jachin

Jachin’s back to killing it again. And this time, there was no competition for best photo, she was miles ahead of everyone else, both in her performance and in the actual results. She looks fresh, youthful, gorgeous, but also super relatable at the same time, without having to go over the top with a crazy big smile. Her eyes are really warm and inviting, and there’s a lot of confidence in her attitude. This would be super efficient as a skin care ad, and it’s one of the best photos from this cycle.

02. Pim

Wow. I’ve never realized how beautiful Pim was until this shot. Just remember the model we saw in the reptiles photoshoot, these are two complete different person. I would say that Pim’s lacking the friendly relatable vibe required to nail that concept, but she has the face of a superstar here, and I love the delicacy of the raised hands. She’s proving with this photo to be able to be the face of a brand, and that’s what is getting her this high.

03. Dana

We reached the modelesque shot from that photoshoot. I think Dana did a really good job here, I like the way she’s looking at the viewer over her shoulder, it adds a little sense of mystery and make us wanna know more about what she’s selling. But what kicked her out of my top 2 is the same issue I’ve had with her over and over again (though less present and bothering than on her over photos) : her face still appears to be slightly lifeless. A stronger connection with her face would have make this photo a lot stronger.

04. Han

Even if she still ends up with a satisfactory shot, I somewhat agree with Han’s elimination. Everything about this photo is fine, but I’m missing that wow factor to make it stand out. I really like the fact that she’s playing with her hair, it makes her relatable and friendly, which sorts of fits the brief. Her smile seems genuine, she looks pretty, but I find myself running out of things to say other than that. It’s a lovely photo of Han, nothing more, nothing less.

05. Vy

This photo is extremely reminiscent of her Subaru ad. This sort of twist of the body but with a flat torso and stiff arms, with the slight motion of the hair, tilted head and bright smile. Well, this smile isn’t exactly the brightest I’ve ever seen, probably because her eyes seem somewhat tired. In the end, and for the same reason as her Subaru ad, the shot feels somewhat half assed, and makes me doubt Vy’s diversity as a model.

06. Mia

Well, this is a lovely photo of Mia, but that’s about it. There’s nothing about it that I find memorable in the slightest, here she looks more like a pretty girl rather than a model. Like Beauty, her face has lost all definition (but it still is far naturally rounder than Beauty’s, so she had that going against her). Her face lacks the same spark, but at least the (really tiny) ammount of emotion she’s showing off is believable. The photo just lacks that model factor.

07. Beauty

Beauty is a stunning girl, but this photo isn’t really doing her any favors. Don’t get me wrong, she doesn’t look bad either, but the edge of her face is gone. Here it looks incredibly round and the definition of it has yet to be found. It probably is because the smile is too big, and because of her eyes not connecting with the viewer or showing any spark, it doesn’t look quite genuine. I’d say though that redeeming quality of the picture would be the relaxed and natural arm placement, but that’s about it.

08. Adela

From the top to the rock bottom. Adela just missed the mark this week, this beauty shot of her is quite busted. She looks like she’s both dazzed and having a strong headache at the same time. Her arm positionning is rather clumsy, and her eyes seem lifeless and uneven, plus the slight smirk is kind of awkward looking. This is not a flattering photo for someone as pretty as Adela, and fails as a beauty shot.
