what's your excuse this time? - for ed
He could feel… something from Hyunjae that wasn't delightful. Though he sat in the medical wing with nothing major wrong, he doubted it looked that way with hose frantic it seemed the medics here were fretting about his hand at current, within a bucket of something dungeon byproduct made. Edvard… did understand he did something silly. Not of his usual mannerisms but, curiosity was a big killer of humanity and the dangers that came with the unknown caused him to be an idiot for the science.
So, the cold tone at the door and unexpected glower of a man that cherished him like the prized butterfly in its own personal cage on a mantle piece, well, Edvard was a little scared. Looking away with sweat beading on his temple, but he didn't remain silent for too long. Tongue trained better in Korean due to their lengthy talks and Edvard fascination growing each time he gets a well done from Hyunjae - he spoke with… some trepidation.
"… I didn't heed the warning of those in my group and still reached for the crystal." He blinked once, twisting his hand at the wrist to reveal the marred flesh that reached up to his inner elbow. Burned through to the bone it was in the dungeon room but here, it was nearly fully fleshed out again. "The document upon its details didn't provide… images, so I… sought for the results I've taken in by information. I thought… they were exaggerated to keep the crystals at a high price for auction houses."
Lips roll with his guilt… head remained low even, but he felt stupidly fulfilled within. He couldn't show that though. Who knew that a blaze crystal would… set them ablaze? Instantly at that… and nearly his whole arm if he didn't get pulled away by a Hunter's power. "…I'm sorry, Hyunjae."
