1: sexuality headcanon: i kind of flip flop between bi and gay. i sort of think that if he were bi or pan or whatever he’d be one of those people who says “i don’t believe in labels. pleasure is pleasure! suck my dick already!” but these days i guess i mostly think of him as gay with some comphet tendencies. 2: otp: lacho 3: brotp: lalo/that guy he called “charlie manson” at don eladio’s place 4: notp: uh . . . lalo/juan bolsa? but now that i’ve typed it out, that sounds hilarious and i wanna see it.  5: first headcanon that pops into my head: his aunt, hector’s wife, taught him how to cook. hector ended up murdering his wife because, well, he’s hector. hector is always critical of lalo’s cooking because it reminds him of his dead wife. lalo doesn’t realize this and has made it his lifelong mission to cook something hector enjoys. 6: favorite line from this character: “i thought i was gonna be swallowing condoms full of heroin.” “no. maybe later!” 7: one way in which I relate to this character: i love a good pair of loafers 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character: “you’ll be half-way to becoming a Salamanca, eh?” that whole scene, basically. 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?: unproblematic fave. i, for one, think arson should be legal.

Ty! ❤️️ august: are any of your fics associated with certain genres/artists/songs/etc? Yes! Lucky to Be Here is very tropey. I’m going to quote a comment from a friend because it remains one of my fav comments ever and has become my mission statement for the fic:  i think it's partly the new setting, and partly knowing the taylor and burton of it all, and partly the new characters and developments in the story, but this chapter feels very old hollywood to me. retroactively the rest of it does, too. there's something almost hitchcockian about this story now, about the thriller of it all, and this line about trying ciro out in other looks felt particularly like something an older leading man might do in a 50's thriller. hitchockian -- and i want to say patricia highsmith, too, though we're getting out of old hollywood there, but hey, there's a hitchcock overlap -- and then spiralling off from highsmith to todd haynes, and far from heaven, and then all leading back into that kind of 50's movie-making opulence and vistavision and big stately wideshots, while beneath it all there's that simmering tension and unease and the feeling like you're watching a fly trapped in a web who hasn't quite realised it yet, because they haven't yet tried to get away. I come back to this comment to remind myself what I’m trying to do. (And which I had been unconscious of until I got this comment! Comments are so useful to writers, for real.) And now that I’ve entered Act 3, I’m going to be leaning heavily into gothic tropes - the wide-eyed ingénue, the mysterious and mercurial older man, the foreboding estate, and...other stuff (no spoilers, but 👻🏯🔥) The Only You series started out just as me being horny lol, but as I went on, I crafted it as an erotic thriller, with Nacho as the homme fatal. Reign in Hell in particular leaned into this. I’d been in Nacho’s POV for most of the stories of the series, but I deliberately got out of his head for the first six chapters to keep Lalo and the reader in the dark about his schemes. ancient: the first fic you ever posted online? Oh my god, this is so embarrassing but - it was a Harry/Draco mpreg. IN MY DEFENSE it was a crack fic, as the kids used to call them, and lots of people thought it was funny! But then I couldn’t figure out where to go with it and ending up deleting it. That’s for the best.  My first serious fic was If You Were the Last Man on Earth for the Heroes fandom. There’s stuff I would do differently now, but I still think it turned out pretty good! And lol you can see all of my obsessions that haunt my fics to this day >_> Fic questions ask meme

8. what is the fic you want to write/read but can’t because it is too full of Sin

sin has never stopped me from reading a fic, i aspire to sin as much as i can ;D i’ve been too grossed out by fics i otherwise would have loved to read a few times - alas, we all have our squicks

as for writing: i’ve been debating whether to finish / post a wip because it’s definitely Sin with capital s, but recent events made me finally say screw it and i’m editing it rn to post it soon! So when i finally get cancelled in this fandom it’s gonna be for “what better way to deal with your internalized homophobia when you’re Lalo Salamanca than by fantasising about your tío/yourself in really messed up ways and calling it a crush” the fic...!

10. what is the worst thing you want to become canon (character death, trash-ship etc)

Lalo kissing Nacho intensely while Nacho is bleeding out in his arms before he kills him ❤ Nacho could stab him too, I’m not picky.
