Nugu GG of the Week #739 : Aseed (part 3)

The group released one last song in early 2018 before being sacrificed to the nugu gods. The song "말같지않은말" which is roughly translated as Nonsense (or Words that Don't Sound Like Words). Nonsense is easier to type out.

From the song title and drawn cover art you'd expect a ballad and well you aren't wrong. The song isn't a pure piano ballad. It is a mid tempo song with a sad overall feel accompanied with a piano. However we're being sexy about this sadness so the song also has some synth club beats going on to and some AOA/Stellar sounding "ooo ooo" parts on the chorus.

A fine song to go out on. While this group was very low budget they did have some charm with their wannabe EXID vibes in my eyes. While Global Icon (y'all still streaming Doligo Doligo?) and D.Holic (y'all still streaming Chewy Chewy?) are the better EXID daughters these girls had some charm.

Nugu GG of the Week #738 : Aseed (part 2)

The group, surprisingly, doesn't disband after one song and releases another track in 2017. The group continues being the sexy group. The outfits they wore felt very SiSTAR however the song not so much. The song was a blend of dated EDM production with some whimsicalness to it that kinda reminded me a little of amusement park music.

While they are clearly pushing to be a sexy group there are plenty of cute and silly dance moments of them having fun to the beat and they were playing twister in the MV as well. Clearly they were living their best nugu lives.

Nugu GG of the Week #737 : Aseed (part 1)

Aseed is a 4 member group that debuted in 2017. The members are Jihyun, Soyeon, Mini, and Soly.

The group has some nugudom struggles with streaming services. On YouTube music app all 3 of their songs are in different libraries of different spellings of their name. As for Spotify some other artist song has been included 😔

The group debuted with Shake It. The song was clearly them trying to be the next EXID, mind you this was 2017, we already had EXID at home dropping L.I.E. and such. The song had that dirty sassy sounding saxophone horn with some trap beats. Vocals aren't anywhere close to Hyelin/Solji. However it's campy fun, especially since the MV of them is dancing in heels and booty shorts in what appears to be some underground passage area or like a sewer level from Resident Evil.
