🖊 Aildyn hums to their pet raven to calm her down. They used to sing, back in the dream and a bit as a sapling, but fell out of practice. They've since forgotten the words to these songs, but they still remember the tune, so they hum them.

🖊 Io is descended from Orrian knights and nobles on her mother's side. Their family was disgraced centuries ago and lost all of their standing. She currently has a ring with her family crest on it. While exploring Orr and preparing for the cleansing ritual, she and Trahearne found a tomb that contained members of her family, which was a fairly exciting moment for both of them.

🖊 Due to both his odd blood composition and his hobby work with poisons and drugs, Aselif is immune to most drugs and poisons, and resistant to almost everything else. It makes it really hard to test his compounds, but Cayde testing them when he tortures people has helped tons.

🖊 Oriphio has a habit of just leaving for a while to go exploring and to find new pets to take in. He can on rare occasion be convinced to do jobs for the court while he's out.

Bonus Oriphio fact: his main pets are Corrine the fire wyvern, Justine the electric wyvern, Aveline the tiger, and Sylvia the marsh drake. All the pets he takes into combat are lovely gals, and he spoils them horribly.

🖊 Despite being a spirit, Whom doesn't possess the ability to pass through walls or objects. They have to use doors like a normal person. Sometimes, when in pursuit of a target, they'll just make their own doors using their weapons.

❣️ When did your OC first realise they were in love? How did they react to the realisation?

It was fast. The moment he saw just how cuddly Cayde could be, Aselif went from "this guy's a dick, but he's hot" to "thorns he's so fucking cute and I want to spend the rest of my life with him." He laughed at himself for it when he was alone later, but it actually made him pretty happy.

💖 What are some little subtle ways they show that they love each other?

Visiting whenever he's free, helping Cayde with his work so it goes a little faster, helping Cayde sneak out so they can spend just a little more time together, leaving notes for Cayde everywhere when he has to leave for a few days so it's like part of him is still there, buying Cayde anything that reminds Aselif of him. Also, just being close to Cayde as much as possible, carrying the peony he gave him everywhere, "borrowing" Cayde's clothes because they smell like him.

"He's so sweet and so dear and so protective. The fact that he can be so soft and so loving, and it's only for me makes my heart soar. I would love to stay by his side forever, and I hope that some day there won't be work to pull us apart for hours or days at a time."

"If Tris liked himself even half as much as I liked him, he'd like himself more than I like myself, and we all know how full of myself I can be. I'm amazing, and he's better. I don't deserve someone as great as him, but don't tell him I said that. I'm glad he has Nimue, someone more worth his time and, uh, his love..."

"Nimue's a great guy. A real friend. Anyone who knows him is lucky to have him in their life. You really get to know someone when you're both dating the same person, and I'm glad Tris gave me the opportunity to meet Nim. He's a friend."

I mean, Lace has nearly 30 years of experience and a tongue that can split into thirds, but I'm not saying they have to be the best kisser of the trio. Tris and Nim both have their own upsides too.

Aselif was having trouble focusing. It meant his work wasn't getting done. It meant he was going to be staying late to finish. It meant he'd have more to do tomorrow. But most importantly, it meant Cayde would be home first.

And his mind was back on Cayde again.

He shook his head and tried to shake thoughts of his dearheart sleeping in his lap while he worked from his head and focus back on the papers in his hand. He needed to, they were about a meeting he had coming up in three days, and he needed to have this information down by then.

“...to meet with a human noble woman by the name of… interested in purchasing…”

It wasn't working. His mind was back on Cayde again. The way he had looked that morning, all sprawled out, when Aselif had woken up, one arm hooked around him. The tired good morning kiss and the even more tired goodbye kiss before Aselif had left for work. The way he smelled like peonies, the way he grinned, and the way he acted hard and tough in public but so soft when they were alone together. Aselif set down his papers and picked up the flower Cayde had gifted him what felt like forever ago, and began spinning it idly as he smiled at the memory. The flower was still fresh and beautiful. Cayde was still safe.

Aselif lifted the flower to his lips and kissed it gently, before setting it back down with a sigh. His gaze turned back to the paperwork. He had to get through this so he could go visit his partner again. Tedious or not, it was important, and Cayde was worth it. He picked the paperwork back up.
