so at the start of art class my art teacher forbade the use of mechanical pencils on drawings. “#2 pencils only” he says. we’re doing a shading practice for blending, cross-hatching, etc. i haven’t touched a wooden pencil in god knows how long, and i only have mechanical pencils. there’s also a participation grade, so i couldn’t wait until the next day to do the assignment otherwise points would be taken off my grade, and everyone else around me either had no wooden pencils or had a single one. but the teacher then says “i’m selling #2 pencils for 10¢ a piece” but my broke ass dont have that kind of money so i dug one out of a trash can
